Hello, hope everyone is getting ready for the holidays. I love it, family, friends, reflecting on the end of a year and excited to see what the new one will bring. I said I would answer some questions I get, and thought we would contiue with “How tall are you and does your height hurt or help you?!?!”

My new agency had sent me a few scripts to tape for auditions while I was in Orlando. For those not so familiar with the acting world, now most of the time your first time auditioning for a part will be sent in through video submission. This is a nationwide thing. The first time a casting director will see you for a part is through something that you self-tape of have someone tape for you. Your agent will sent you lines or scripts that you must prepare on tape to see if the casting director feels you are right to come in for a reading.

Ready, Set, Action!

I have just gotten back from my second trip to Atlanta, this time I was away from home for 3 weeks! I have never been away from my family for that long and it was a little difficult, but it was unbelievable! I knew when I left before I would be back for Insurgent that was part of my original booking, and I was dying to get back on it. On my first trip I had made some incredible new friendships and was happy to be able to see them again. Unfortunately I am sure you have all heard the modeling and acting businesses 50% talent and 50% who you know. So keep that in mind with the paths you cross. So what did I do this time? Hello everyone. I apologize I have been crazy and have gotten a little behind so I am gonna take it back a bit. SO last blog I told you about going to Atlanta to work on a major motion picture. I can now share a bit of that with you. The movie is called “Insurgent” and if anyone doesn’t recognize the title right off, it is the second book/movie from “Divergent”! Yes I am so thrilled. I had cast and was selected for a featured part in the Candor faction. My first days back in June were shot with Shailene Woodley and Theo James, just to name a couple....

Always keep an open mind. For those who don’t know me. My career
actually got started at the age of 1 when I shot my first commercial. I have been
very fortunate to be able to say I literally have been a working/paid
actress my entire life. Living in Orlando, most do not realize it is actually pretty
strong in the commercial category, especially with all the amusement parks.
It wasn’t until about a year and a half ago I really started pushing and
dreaming of becoming more of a print/fashion model...

Why do you want to be a model? There are lots of people out there wanting to model as a career. I suggest getting out a pen and paper and truly ask yourself, why? Is it to get rich, get famous, or because you love fashion and pictures? I hope you are not in it for the money when you first start. I have been working in the
print/fashion industry for about a year and a half now. It isn’t easy and usually not as glamorous as it seems...

There are a few things I never leave home without and I want to share with you. First up a comp card or business card. A comp card is a 4×5 card with a headshot on front and a few pictures on back along with your stats and contact info. If you are agency signed of course have the agency information on there....

Well in response to the hundreds of emails, text, and facebook questions I
have received this week. I have decided do walk you through, step by step,
my Wet Seal Model Search experience. In March 2013, I had seen the model search in
the store and honestly forgot about it. I had been out with some friends, got home
one night and my mom said, “Did you ever enter that model search, when was the dates?”
